Web Design Process

Step 1: Discovery

Picking Your Brain

We kick-off the process with a series of discovery meetings where your project manager, designer and developer will “pick your brain” to ensure that we clearly understand the project objectives. In this part of the process, we’ll uncover your design preferences (branding), development needsand primary goals.

Step 2: Planning

Getting Our Ducks in a Row

Now that the Web Gumption team is clear on your project requirements and design preferences, we get to work in planning the project. Here, we’ll outline recommendations for a development platform, plugins, and develop a project timeline. In the end, we’ll deliver our plan for your approval.

Step 3: Design and Develop

Getting to Work

At this point, we’ve got a solid project plan and our designers and developers can get to work. On the design end, we’ll work on initial mock-ups to review design options with you. On the development end, we’ll begin building the needed functionality and back-end features. In the end, we’ll present a functioning website to you for your review and revisions.

Step 4: Test & Launch

Let’s Wrap it Up

Once all revisions are made, our development team will thoroughly review your website to ensure that everything is operating as it should be. Once we’re 100% confident with the website, we’ll go-live and will test once again in the live environment. Once live, our developers will implement all last minute items. At this point, you have a live website.
